Plot Synopsis
WHAT'S EATING AMERICA is a five-episode docuseries that follows chef Andrew Zimmern, as he explores the most provocative social and political issues impacting voters -- immigration, climate change, addiction, voting rights and healthcare -- through the lens of food. Zimmern seeks out the inspiring stories of individuals most affected by these issues, and those seeking to change them. In the special two-hour series opener, "Who's Feeding America," Zimmern is joined by chef and humanitarian Jose Andres, and they go behind-the-scenes to solve U.S. immigration policies and how the food industry uses migrant and immigrant labor every day. In the second episode, "Overcooked," Zimmern goes to Milwaukee, WI, where the native perch are disappearing from the warm waters of Lake Michigan.
