Plot Synopsis

Created by Park Shin-woo and Seo Suk-hyang, WHEN THE STARS GOSSIP is an Earth-to-space K-romance, where an astronaut and a space tourist entangle only to start falling for each other -- even though they're from two different worlds and with separate missions. The series explores love, trust, and human connection in a world where every resource is precious, and emotions run deep. Gong Ryong is an OB-GYN-turned-space-tourist with a secret mission, whose journey is as mysterious as it is thrilling. Commander Eve Kim is a no-nonsense perfectionist leading her first space mission, but her unflinching professionalism faces new challenges as the stakes soar. They're joined by: Kang Kang-su, a thrill-seeking scientist studying fruit flies while escaping the mundane; Choi Go-eun, the ambitious heiress to MZ Group and Gong Ryong's dazzlingly independent girlfriend; a veteran astronaut; an Earth-bound mission chief; twin sisters with opposing personalities; and more. On Sunday, February 23, 2025, Netflix released the season finale of WHEN THE STARS GOSSIP. As Eve's new state prevents her from coming back to Earth, Ryong commits to joining her in space. Once there, they debate a risky return to Earth.
