Plot Synopsis

Created, directed, written, and executive produced by series star Sacha Baron Cohen, WHO IS AMERICA? is a half-hour comedy series that explores the diverse individuals, from the infamous to the unknown across the political and cultural spectrum, who populate the United States. Throughout the seven-episode first season, Baron Cohen assumes multiple personas, including Billy Wayne Ruddick Jr. PhD (a disabled US Veteran), Dr. Nira Cain-N'Degeocello (a liberal), Rick Sherman (a British ex-con), Erran Morad (an Israeli security "expert"), and possibly more. Featured guests in the series opener include Bernie Sanders, Jane Page Thompson, Mark Thompson, Philip Van Cleave, Larry Pratt, Matt Gaetz, Trent Lott, Dana Rohrabacher, Joe Wilson, and Joe Walsh. In subsequent episodes Baron Cohen punks former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, defeated Senate candidate Roy Moore and former Vice President Dick Cheney, news anchor Ted Koppel, gun rights activist Janalee Tobias, Howard Dean, Alberto Gonzales, and more.
