Plot Synopsis

WICKED SINGLE follows six, young Boston singles, as this group of friends hang out, hit the clubs, and avoid growing old -- or growing up. This group of friends includes: Chubs, the 30-year-old life of the party, who often self-sabotages himself with his immature antics when it comes to meeting women; Joe, Chubs' 30-year-old roommate and cruising buddy, who can't settle on Mrs. Right, even though he gets a lot of action; Chelsi, a 24-year-old maniac, who gets everyone in trouble -- and even though she's the only woman who can party at Chubs' speed, they haven't hooked up, yet; Chrissy, the 27-year-old pretty Southie girl, who is often the peacekeeper of the group while holding down three different jobs -- working at a prison, hairdressing, and being a promo girl; 28-year-old Rachel, who decorates her apartment with wedding invitations and is semi-desperate to send out her own one day, to match her sisters who are already hitched; and Nikki, Rachel's 30-year-old (or maybe 28-year-old, depending on the night) best friend, who would like a man, a job and some stability and who hides her fascination with New York Yankee Derek Jeter from her Boston friends. In a March 2013 interview at Boston.com, Jeff Olde, one of show's executive producers, revealed that Chubs was the inspiration for the series. Chubs "was on a casting tape on another show...and didn't make it" on that one, but VH1 followed up with his friends and "came back with these characters."
