Plot Synopsis

From the Arctic Islands still being forged by the fire of it's volcanoes, and the punishing frozen landscape of the tundra, to the vast snow forests of the Taiga (the world's largest biome) that wraps itself around the entire globe, this series captures the planet's toughest creatures, in it's most spectacular habitats. On Sunday, December 23, 2018 from 8-11pm ET/PT, Nat Geo Wild premiered the three-episode WILD ARCTIC, airing the entire three-episode series:

"Islands of Ice and Fire" (8pm): The planet's most extreme wilderness exists in the Arctic, a land ruled by ice.

"The Frozen Forest" (9pm): In a frozen forest circling the entire globe, unique species must adapt or die.

"Desert of Ice" (10pm): From the largest land predator to flesh-eating plants, only those with true grit survive life in the Arctic's vast, frozen and spectacular tundra.
