Plot Synopsis

This three-part series documents the animals, flora and fauna of New Zealand, which was cast adrift in Earth's greatest ocean, allowing life to go its own way. Millions of years of isolation created a secret paradise with unique wildlife that plays by different rules; penguins that nest in the forest, parrots that play in the snow and predator-survivors from pre-history. And just a few centuries ago, it became the very last great landmass to be discovered and settled by man. Nat Geo Wild premiered the entire three-episode series on Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 8-11pm ET/PT.
