Plot Synopsis

Using dramatic re-creations and first-person interviews, criminologist and behavioral analyst Dr. Casey Jordan explores the stories of women who stabbed their significant others -- sometimes killing them -- while revealing what events or motivations led these women to cut the men out of their lives. Each 60-minute episode highlights a single story, including: Jamie Czerniawski, whose marriage to Charlie begins to disintegrate following their appearance on a reality show about their family life, with the couple ultimately brawling in the kitchen, where Jamie grabs a knife and plunges it into her husband's arm; a mother of four, repeatedly abused by her boyfriend, who stabs him to death in a fight for her life; and many more women who used cutlery to end their relationships. Season 2 of WIVES WITH KNIVES premiered on Friday, November 29, 2013 at 10pm ET/PT on Investigation Discovery. In the season opener, Jameelah Jones stabbed her husband, James Nixon, five times in a fit of rage and revenge when their relationship becomes volatile and erupts, following his time in prison for dealing drugs. He survived but refused to press charges and, incredibly, the couple ended with a truce. WIVES WITH KNIVES returned for its fourth season on Friday, November 27, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT on Investigation Discovery. In the season opener, "You're Going to Die Tonight," Edna Wilson decides to focus on her career and family after being disrespected and lied to by men. When she reconnects with a high school flame, it leads to a whirlwind romance. But jealousy rips the marriage apart, ending in a fierce battle of wills. Season 5 of WIVES WITH KNIVES premiered on Friday, November 25, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT on Investigation Discovery. In the season opener, "Now We're Even," to deal with the pressure of balancing school and work, Flora Williams turns to prescription pills. Soon after, she falls in love with an older man named Matt. But when he reveals his true colors, the relationship takes a volatile turn.

On Friday, January 20, 2017 at 9pm ET/PT, Investigation Discovery premiered the Season 5 finale of WIVES WITH KNIVES. In the season ender, "Poetic Justice," Laura Lewis struggles through a difficult childhood and learns from her mother at a young age that "a man will either beat on you, or cheat on you." When Laura grows up and gets a man that does both, she decides it's time to fight back, with a knife.
