X-RAY MEGA AIRPORT takes viewers behind the scenes at Frankfurt Airport, where more than 200,000 passengers pass through this German airport every day. Using state-of-the-art camera technology and computer imagery, the series reveals how everything in this mini-city functions -- from the tarmac to the terminal to the aircraft -- and details the engineering inside the planes, the machinery, and even the brains of the people who work here. Smithsonian Channel aired the U.S. premiere of this series on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT.
