Plot Synopsis

Host Emily Calandrelli, a 27-year-old astronautics expert and former NASA employee, visits various space-related facilities across America to learn about the science and technology behind various projects that explore and probe the universe. Some location highlights in this half-hour series include: NASA's Vomit comet; the Mars Desert Research station; and Johnson Space Center's Neutral Buoyancy lab. In addition to being the host of XPLORATION OUTER SPACE, Emily is one of the show's technical content curators. In an interview with WomenYouShouldKnow.net, Emily revealed, "I'm essentially picking things that I have found personally interesting in the past eight years that I have been studying in this field." XPLORATION OUTER SPACE airs each weekend (check local listings) as part of "Xploration Station," a two-hour syndicated block airing on Fox stations and other station groups throughout the United States.
