Plot Synopsis

XTREME SCREAMS is a half-hour series that explores what happens when every day people push their inner fears to the limit. Whether on a roller coaster, zip-line, bungee jump or human catapult -- just about everyone will have to cross the tense threshold between perceived safety and perceived danger. The result is almost always a terrifying scream. This series travels the world, seeking out the most extreme, adrenaline busting, fear inducing attractions and inviting willing, regular people to set aside their basic survival instincts, throw caution to the wind and embrace the euphoric rush that ensues. In the series opener, "Height Fright," hip-hop dancers head to Florida to take on a drop tower that propels them 335 feet down at 60 mph. Then, co-workers in Texas are suspended in the air before falling 130 feet into a net, and adrenaline junkies swing over a canyon. Then, in the program's second episode, "Over the Edge," friends reconnect with their inner child while dropping 30 stories on Canada's tallest and fastest roller coaster. Then, soccer mates in France ride a bike off a 90-foot ski jump, and firefighters go iceless bobsledding in Utah.
