Plot Synopsis

YANKEE JUNGLE is a one-hour reality series that follows Bob and Julie Miner and their crew, as they work with more than 200 animals at the 42-acre DEW Animal Kingdom & Sanctuary in Maine. The animals come from many different backgrounds. Some are from zoos, others from individuals who got in over their heads, people moving, people dying, rescues and some were bought to educate and preserve. DEW is a non-profit organization that is not funded by the state or federal government, but uses money from admissions, its small gift shop, and random donations to feed, house, and meet the needs of all animals. This three-episode series opens with the team at DEW preparing the exotic animal refuge for opening day.
