Plot Synopsis
Based on the novel by Anna Quindlen. A nurse, married to a New York City cop, can no longer stand her husband's violent beatings and flees with her 10-year-old son to Florida. She assumes a false identity with no connection to her previous life. The dream of a new beginning is eventually shattered when her abusive spouse tracks her down, takes his son and savagely attacks her.
