Plot Synopsis

Sequel to the 2009 Hallmark Channel TV Movie CHRISTMAS IN CANAAN. In 1960's Texas, widowed farmer Daniel Burton travels to California to seek medical attention for his injured son. While there, he soon falls in love with the boy's rehab doctor and convinces her to come spend Christmas on their rural farm in Canaan. Her visit is anything but merry as his kids, especially daughter Sarah, struggle to accept their father's new love. Sarah feels that to like this new woman would be a dishonor to her late mother's memory. To keep the family peace, Daniel breaks off the relationship. But as the months pass, the kids sense their father's depression and conspire to reunite the two -- a task that is easier said than done. Sarah reaches out to the doctor and invites her to return, once again, to the farm for the holidays. This time they all learn valuable life lessons and the true meaning of Christmas.
