Plot Synopsis

Rebecca, a workaholic New York City businesswoman, finds herself out of a job when her company merges with another and she is let go. Without an anchor in her highly structured life, she finds herself on a plane heading back to her hometown in California for a friend's wedding on Christmas Eve. Back home, she is too self-absorbed to enjoy herself, reconnect with her mother or even delight in the Christmas wedding ceremony. Even when her handsome and sweet old flame Chad makes an attempt to jumpstart their old relationship, she fails to respond. She happens to get a cab with a driver who just might have the magic to help her stop and smell the roses. When she wakes up the next morning, she realizes it's still Christmas Eve and the wedding hasn't happened yet. Confused, she goes through all of the motions again and when she notices key events repeating themselves, she realizes it wasn't a dream; it's the same day over and over. When her increasingly frantic attempts to flee the small town fail, it leaves her no choice but to continue attending the wedding, again and again. But something unusual happens...being trapped in a holiday wonderland starts to have an effect her -- she soon learns to slow down and enjoy life -- and she finally opens herself up to a possible romantic relationship with Chad.
