Plot Synopsis
Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire. Retelling of the Cinderella myth seen through the eyes of the "ugly" stepsister, Iris who, along with her scheming, once rich mother and slow-witted sister work as servants . Her mother eventually persuades a wealthy tulip merchant who has a beautiful daughter, to marry her. When a prince comes in search of a bride, Iris, deceiving her mother, convinces her pretty stepsister to attend the ball.True love wins out, the price fits the right glass slipper and Iris completes her private journey, discovering her own true love, and her own special beauty.
