Plot Synopsis
Based on the novel. Three Seattle couples face the joys and sorrows of possible parenthood. One couple finds out the wife is infertile, which causes her to walk out on her spouse. Another couple face the reality that the wife wants an acting career more than a baby, while another couple face family resentment when they have a late in life pregnancy. All is eventually resolved and everybody lives happily ever after.
