Plot Synopsis

In 1863, after her husband's death in the Civil War, a strong-willed mother of three, Belle Barlowe, finally gets her feet on the ground again and begins a secret romance with the sheriff, Nate Cooper. Her relationship with the honorable lawman is sorely tested when her outlaw brother, Jasper Gatlin, and his childhood friend, Toby Harper, return to town and urge her to join his gang of renegade bushwhackers. When the corrupt bank that runs their town pushes her into becoming an outlaw, the stakes become personal, setting off a chain of events that force her to consider how far she is willing to go to protect her family and her land.
