Plot Synopsis

Nerdy eight-year-old Finn is terrified to learn his family is relocating from sunny California to Maine, just in time for Christmas. Reluctant to leave his room and his beloved video games, he is forced by his mother to go out and make new friends -- and then his new friend tells him his house has a ghost. Now, convinced that his house is haunted, he sets up a series of elaborate traps to catch the poltergeist in action, while his family tries to prove him wrong. When their parents are stranded across town, Finn is left home alone with his sister Alexis, who has no time for his crazy ghost stories. Soon his traps snare an unexpected target -- a group of thieves who have targeted his house.
