Plot Synopsis
Based on the book by Victor Hugo. In 16th century Paris, disfigured church bell-ringer Quasimodo vies for the attention of Gypsy dancer Esmeralda, who is also lusted after by the brutal, irrational cathedral archdeacon Dom Frollo. The hunchbacks gentle kindness eventually saves the life of the outcast beauty after she is sentenced to death for a murder that was committed by the obsessed archdeacon.
