Plot Synopsis
Sequel to the 2016 Hallmark Movies & Mysteries original TV movie, "JL Family Ranch." Retired Texas sheriff and lifelong cowboy John Landsburg has given in to his grown daughters and is letting them turn his sprawling cattle ranch into a bed & breakfast. With the grand opening advancing, the family welcomes Claudia Dupreem a magazine reviewer whose opinion can make or break the new enterprise. Everyone is excited when Landsburg's replacement, Sheriff Henry Whitlock proposes to eldest Landsburg daughter Rebecca, whose boyfriend Caleb Peterson had simply vanished two decades ago, before he even knew Rebecca was pregnant with his daughter. Now all grown up, Lynnie Landsburg is determined to locate her long-lost father and enlists the help of her grandfather Tap Peterson, a wealthy neighboring rancher who can't let go of the longstanding feud between the two families. Lynnie locates her dad and invites him to the ranch so they can work on building the father-daughter relationship they never had. However, when Caleb's past catches up with him, Tap must put his entire fortune and the Peterson Ranch on the line in order to redeem his son. Recognizing the love his lifelong enemy has for his son and the lengths he would go to in order to redeem Caleb, John Landsburg sets aside old hostilities and puts together a plan for everyone in the community to come together in order to save the Peterson Ranch from the ruthless lenders ready to take it over.
