Plot Synopsis
Joan Brock, well-respected teacher at a school for blind children in Iowa, suddenly loses her own vision by the early onset of macular degeneration. Adjustment to blindness is not easy even with the support of her loving husband and 9-year-old daughter. She eventually accepts her condition and becomes organized and efficient in her home and work. When her husband dies of a brain tumor she is forced to face the daunting challenges in her life and eventually becomes an inspirational speaker to groups around the world
