Plot Synopsis
Based on the book ''Marita'' by Marita Lorenz. In 1959, Marita Lorenz, a young American woman, falls in love with Fidel Castro during the early years of his reign over Cuba. Although blinded by her love for him she is forced to confront reality when, late in her pregnancy, she is drugged, forced into labor and shipped back to the states without her baby. When she learns of Castro's deception she works with the CIA to assassinate him. Upon returning to Cuba she confronts Castro about their child. After learning the truth about her baby she is unable to kill him.
