Plot Synopsis
Based on the book by James G. Burton. Colonel James G. Burton is assigned by Congress to oversee the testing of weapons being developed by the Pentagon. He focuses on the Bradley Fighting Vehicle--an ill conceived troop transport that consumed 17 years and $14 billion in taxpayer money-pitting him against and intractable military bureaucracy determined to stop him. Disillusioned by the ordeal, he eventually accepts forced retirement. It is estimated the his efforts helped save the lives of hundreds of servicemen in battle.
