Based on the book "Murder in Sin City" by Jeff German. The true story of the tumultuous, romance of beauty-queen-turned-stripper Sandy Murphy and reckless, drug using casino mogul Ted Binion. Their love affair soon turned dark when Murphy begins a secret affair with one of Binon's employees, Rick Tabish, a construction worker. When Binion turns up dead of an overdose, the death is first ruled a suicide but after six months it is reclassified as a homicide. Law enforcement sources cited evidence that the death scene had been staged, as well as witness statements implicating Murphy and Tabish. After Tabish gets caught stealing from Binion's hidden underground vault in the Nevada desert, he and Murphy are arrested for murder. After two months of trial, Murphy and Tabish were found guilty. Tabish was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison, while Murphy received 22 years to life.
