Plot Synopsis
On Christmas Eve in 1944 during the Battle of the Bulge, Elisabeth Vincken and her young son Fritz are hidden away in a cabin in the Ardennes Forest to wait out the war. When three American soldiers appear at her door requesting food and shelter she invites them in. Soon heavily armed soldiers from her own country show up but, before the situation can get out of hand, Ms. Vincken warns both sides there will be no fighting--not on this holy night--and a life-transforming experience takes places in the little cabin.
