Now with a new boss, a fresh Fall season, and a controversial plan for 10PM, NBC is defining its new brand. When the Fall television season begins in just a few weeks, several actors will be back in starring roles after being off the air for a few years. Melrose Place fans will be thrilled to see the long-absent Laura Leighton return to the CW's new version, and sci-fi devotees will be overjoyed when Firefly actress Morena Baccarin pops up on ABC's remake of V. They're not the only ones looking for a long-term gig. Here are seven TV vets returning to the small screen this Fall -- none of them starred on a hit series for at least three years.

With the passing of nearly two decades since last we heard from them, we are left to wonder: If the characters on this show were self-absorbed basket cases before, what must they be like today at fiftysomething?
