Plot Synopsis

Dhani Jones, Jeremy Bloom and Shawn Johnson East (Season 2) or Craig Cooper (Season 1) put outdoor recreation products through real endurance testing in this four-episode series, which gives entrepreneurs the chance to showcase their product in the environment it's designed for: the great outdoors! In each one-hour episode, hopeful entrepreneurs pitch the Adventure Capitalists on a new recreation product for the outdoors -- from an acoustic shark repellent and a collapsible loo for camping, to a three-wheel, all-terrain electric bike -- in hopes of landing a life-changing investment. With real expeditions in different terrains each week, the Adventure Capitalists put the products through extreme endurance testing to see how they hold up against Mother Nature in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the Mojave Desert, the shark-infested waters of the Bahamas, and a Redwood Coastal Forest. The six-episode second season of ADVENTURE CAPITALISTS premiered Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 10pm ET/PT on CNBC, with Olympic Gold Medalist Shawn Johnson East joining returning investors Dhani Jones and Jeremy Bloom. In addition to the primary investors who appear in every episode, new this season are guest investors -- former Olympic skier Bode Miller; founder of Neff Headwear Shaun Neff; Washington Redskins tight end Vernon Davis; former NFL star Tony Gonzalez; and former pro freestyle skier and Winter X Games medalist Kristi Leskinen -- who will be joining Shawn, Jeremy and Dhani in various episodes to test products and potentially offer investments. In the season opener, "Sandstone Country," Jeremy, Dhani, Shawn and guest investor Tony Gonzalez traverse Utah's Moab desert to test rugged outdoor products -- including a revolutionary new mountain bike and a pontoon boat equipped with a hammock. Will they put their money behind an entrepreneur in need of investment?

On Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 11pm ET/PT, CNBC premiered the Season 2 finale of ADVENTURE CAPITALISTS. In the season ender, "Ice," the investors continue their trek through the Canadian Rockies, as they try out a four-in-one amphibious ice-fishing vehicle and a pair of ultra-protective gloves that the inventors claim can handle anything.
