Season 1 Season 2
Plot Synopsis
Created and directed by Chris Miller, THE AFTERPARTY is a comedy series that explores a different character's account of one fateful evening, all told through the lens of popular film genres and unique visuals to match the storyteller's perspective. Each season focuses on a different night, introducing a new case, new film genres, and new characters each time.
The eight-episode first season centers on a murder mystery for a 15-year high school reunion. When the afterparty ends in a stunning death, everyone is a suspect. Each episode explores a different character's account of the fateful evening in question, all through the lens of popular film genres and unique visuals to match the storyteller's perspective. The first three episodes dropped on Friday, January 28, 2022 with a new episode debuting each Friday through March 4.
The sophomore season of THE AFTERPARTY premiered with two new episodes on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 on Apple TV+. A new episode dropped each week through September 6. In Season 2, a wedding is ruined when the groom is murdered and every guest is a suspect. Detective Danner returns to help Aniq and Zoe solve whodunnit by questioning family members, star-crossed lovers and business partners, and hearing each suspect's retelling of the weekend, each with their own unique perspective and visual style.
