Plot Synopsis

ALL STAR DEALERS follows Richie Russek, a co-founder of Grey Flannel Auctions, and his two sons, Michael and Darren, as they search for, authenticate, appraise and auction sports memorabilia. Every day, Grey Flannel receives hundreds of items. Some are all-stars, poised to reap thousands for the consigner and Richie; while others get benched, falling victim to cheap knock-off material or forged signatures. Before the auction, it's up to Richie's team of expert authenticators, who use detailed investigation methods and state-of-the-art tools, to determine what items are the real deal. Once an item is verified to be the real deal, Grey Flannel then puts it on the auction block -- either through its catalog auctions or a weekly web auction. Operating since 1989, Grey Flannel has developed into the world's foremost authenticators and dealers of game-used jerseys, and is now an official appraiser, authenticator, and licensee of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association, and the NFL Alumni. Since it expanded its business by holding its first auction in Fall 1999, Grey Flannel has had the privilege to auction off items such as Babe Ruth's "Called Shot" New York Yankees game-used jersey from the 1932 World Series, Yankee Stadium Organ played by Eddie Layton, Pete Maravich's LSU game-used Jersey, Julius Erving's 1976 ABA All-Star game-used & Slam Dunk Contest-worn uniform, Jim Brown's Cleveland Browns Game-Used Jersey, Charles White's 1979 Heisman Trophy Award, and the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame entire collection of enshrinee plaques.
