Plot Synopsis
ALOHA BUILDS is a half-hour reality series that follows Michelle Jaime and her brother David, as they remodel tired Hawaiian homes in a whole new way. These native siblings blend the best of the islands' design with tricks of the trade only locals would know. And, as with any siblings, there's competition as well as chemistry. On Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Noon ET/PT, HGTV premiered the pilot, then called ALOHA HOMES, but the cable channel had no other episodes on its schedule at that time. In the pilot, "Newlyweds Need a New Home," when newlyweds Alex & Megan Miller purchased their first home in Hawaii, they knew it would need a serious remodel. Enter David and Michelle Jaime. With their local knowledge and design expertise, these siblings transform a dated Kailua, Hawaii property into a beach house perfect for entertaining. Nineteen months later, DIY Network aired the official series premiere on Monday, September 10, 2018 from 10-11pm ET/PT. The series, now titles ALOHA BUILDS, debuted with back-to-back new episodes:
"Bringing Down the Walls" (10pm): Brother-and-sister duo Michelle and David Jaime take on a massive amount of walls that have closed off a photography couple's dream house.
"Unfinished Business" (10:30pm): A couple reaches a standstill during demolition, so David and Michelle come to the rescue to save their remodel.
