Plot Synopsis

Each half-hour episode of ALONE: THE SKILLS CHALLENGE features three former ALONE participants, who compete head-to-head in creative build challenges devised by one of their peers. Using only basic tools and the natural resources around them, only one survivalist is deemed the winner, proving they have the skills needed to thrive in the wilderness. Competitors are judged on their ingenuity, execution, and completion of each task. From elevated shelters to hand-crafted ovens to watercraft, each episode is self-filmed by the survivalists and features impressive builds. Returning survivalists include Callie North (Season 3 of ALONE), Lucas Miller (Season 1), Amos Rodriguez (Season 7), Britt Ahart (Seasons 3 & 5), Jordan Jonas (Season 6), Joel Van Der Loon (Season 7) and Clay Hayes (Season 8).

In the one-hour season opener, "Earth Shelter," three of the strongest ALONE participants take on a bushcraft challenge devised by one of their own -- build an Earth Shelter in three days using just a few surprise tools. It's a showdown for bragging rights between Jordan Jonas (Season 6 Winner), Amos Rodriguez (Season 7) and Lucas Miller (Season 1). Who will build the best shelter and win?
