Plot Synopsis

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: HOTEL takes place at the Hotel Cortez, an art deco hotel in downtown Los Angeles, which was built in the 1930s by the deeply psychotic James March, who used the structure's labyrinthine design to hide his murderous deeds and who setup his office in the now-deadly Room 64. The current-day hotel owner, The Countess, is a supernatural seductress and glamorous socialite who drinks human blood to maintain her youth. Plus, the sex-crazed Countess, after being taken in by the blood-hungry Donovan in 1994, has discarded him for a younger and hipper Tristan, a newly-turned male. After being spurned, Donovan, whose mother Iris is the front-desk clerk, seeks revenge on his former lover. The hotel is home to The Addiction Demon, a creature that preys on those suffering from addiction, and The Ten Commandments Killer, whose Bible-inspired murders are investigated by Detective John Lowe. Others drawn to the Cortez include: Ramona Royale, an actress and former lover of The Countess, who is seeking revenge; Liz Taylor, a cross-dresser nicknamed by The Countess; Sally, a junkie and friend of The Countess; New York designer Will Drake, a fashion icon, who buys the Cortez from The Countess in the first episode, and moves in with his son Lachlan; Gabriel, a Hollywood junkie; Justin, a hipster who checks into the Cortez with his girlfriend to avoid trick-or-treaters; a handful of serial killers like John Wayne Gacy and Aileen Wuornos; and many more guests and visitors, many of whom check in but don't check out.

On Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT, FX premiered 'Be Our Guest," the finale of AMERICAN HORROR STORY: HOTEL. Iris and Liz oversee a new era at the Cortez; meanwhile, John and Alex struggle to adapt to life outside the hotel.
