Plot Synopsis

AMISH HAUNTING is a one-hour series that uses re-enactments and first-person interviews to chronicle chilling ghost stories based on Amish oral histories of the supernatural. The Amish are no strangers to horror, as their full belief is that living in the modern world leads to sin and inevitably the evil spirits. These tales are brought to life by narrators from the Amish community who guide viewers on a grim trip into the Amish crypt. Each 60-minute episode tells two tales, including: a faceless doll that defies Amish beliefs, opening a doorway to evil for the Lapp family when their daughter receives one as a gift from a neighbor; the ghost of an Amish witch that's been dead for a century, which awakens to haunt an unsuspecting family; the Ghost of Cry Baby Bridge, which visits a deacon's son when he and a friend taunt the devil; a woodworker defies a Bishop's orders to burn a fallen tree, unleashing terrifying evil; and many more terrifying tales of the Amish supernatural.

On Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT, Destination America first broadcast the Season 1 finale of AMISH HAUNTING. the season ender focuses on two stories: as punishment for having relations out of wedlock, an Amish woman gives birth to a baby that is half human and half goat; and the ghost of an Amish woman savagely murdered by a taxi driver seeks revenge on other unsuspecting drivers.
