Plot Synopsis

ANDOR, a prequel to the STAR WARS spinoff film ROGUE ONE, is a one-hour drama series that focuses on Cassian Andor's journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It's an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero. ANDOR premiered on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 on Disney+, as the streaming service released the first three episodes. A new episode debuted each Wednesday through November 23.

The second and final season of ANDOR debuted on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 9pm ET/6pm PT on Disney+, which released the first three episodes of the new season. Three new installments dropped each weekly on Tuesdays through May 13. One day after the Season 2 premiere, ABC aired a linear television sneak peak of "One Year Later," the season's first episode on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 10pm ET/PT. Season 2 takes place as the horizon of war draws near and Cassian becomes a key player in the Rebel Alliance. Everyone will be tested and, as the stakes rise, the betrayals, sacrifices and conflicting agendas will become profound. Rife with political intrigue and danger, the series is a prequel to ROGUE ONE, which portrayed a heroic band of rebels who steal the plans to the Empire's weapon of mass destruction -- The Death Star -- setting the stage for the events of the original 1977 film. ANDOR sets the clock back five years from the events of ROGUE ONE to tell the story of the film's hero, Cassian Andor, and his transformation from disinterested, cynical nobody into a rebel hero on his way to an epic destiny.

On Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 9pm ET/6pm PT, Disney+ released the final three episodes of ANDOR. The three episodes from the previous week ended with the Ghorman massacre, forcing Senator Mon Mothma to denounce the Empire and publicly commit to the coming war. This last batch of three episodes leads up to the story of ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY.
