Plot Synopsis

ANIMAL CONTROL is a half-hour workplace comedy series that follows a group of local Animal Control workers whose lives are complicated by the fact that animals are simple, but humans are not. Frank is an opinionated, eccentric Animal Control officer who may not have gone to college but is still the most well-read person in the room. A former cop, Frank tried to expose corruption in his department, but his efforts got him fired, which may explain why he's so cynical and curmudgeonly. He has an almost superhuman ability to understand animals. Humans...not so much. Frank is assigned a new partner, Fred "Shred" Taylor, an optimistic rookie Animal Control officer. They both report into their sweet-natured and endearingly awkward boss Emily Price. Amit Patel and Victoria Sands are also partners in the Animal Control office -- though they could not be more opposite. Rounding out the precinct is veterinarian Dr. Summers, receptionist Dolores Stubb, and Templeton Dudge, an Animal Control officer from a neighboring precinct with a real chip on his shoulder.

The sophomore season of ANIMAL CONTROL premiered on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 9pm ET/PT on FOX. In the season opener, "Raccoons and Mutts," when Shred wallows over Emily's blossoming relationship with Rick, Frank decides to cheer him up with a special "Shred's Day" adventure. The group is shocked to learn Victoria is in a green card marriage, and her 'husband' wants a divorce. Emily spins out when she discovers that Animal Control Officers are not considered "essential workers," and Patel tries desperately to satisfy his pregnant wife's craving for movie theater popcorn. Guest stars in Season 2 include: Sarah Chalke as Yazmin; Ken Jeong as dog whisperer Lee Park; Thomas Lennon as Frank's older brother, Patrick; Chelsea Frei as free spirit Isabelle; and Larry Joe Campbell as Carl.

Season 3 of ANIMAL CONTROL debuted on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 9pm ET/PT on FOX. In the season opener, "Giraffes, Gorillas, and Penguins," after Animal Control must contain a freak zoo break, Frank realizes that he needs to break up with Yasmin 'the right way,' Patel gorilla rescue goes viral and Emily finds an unexpected benefactor in a celebrity businesswoman.

On Thursday, March 13, 2023 at 9pm ET/PT, FOX premiered "Strays and Lovebirds," the Season 3 finale of ANIMAL CONTROL. On the day of the new kennel's groundbreaking ceremony, Animal Control discover that they don't have any dogs left for adoption and must scour the city to fill the kennel in time. Also, Frank is concerned when he realizes that he hasn't heard from his dad in a while.
