Plot Synopsis

Hosted by LisaRaye McCoy, each one-hour episode of ASKING FOR A FRIEND features two single besties who try to find love matches for each other by choosing two blind dates for them. They later go on a double date to reveal the type of person that eligible bachelor/bachelorette each should be dating. In the season opener, Aisha and Essence are work besties who became inseparable after making a social media reel for work. Both are ready to dive into the Atlanta dating pool. Can these corporate recruiters recruit Mr. Right for each other? After a two-month break, ASKING FOR A FRIEND returned with new episodes on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 10pm ET/PT on TV One. In the spring premiere, "Arielle & Tamarah," bachelors Adrian and Emanuel are looking for "the one" but in the meantime are enjoying dating around with the other ones. Can these high school friends help each other find their queens and retire their player cards?
