Plot Synopsis

Traveling auctioneer Christie Hatman -- the 2010 Missouri State Champion Auctioneer who specializes in antiques, collectibles, and collections -- visits clients across America, selling their valuables at auction after they are appraised by professionals. In each half-hour episode, Hatman works with two different clients, including: a seller with a classic pinball machine; a couple with European treasures; a couple whose high-end antiques collection has overwhelmed their house; a woman whose home renovation revealed hidden antique treasure; a couple who wants to sell Chinese artifacts; a woman who wants to sell her mother's estate; a woman with a vintage Coca-Cola sign; and many more individuals and couples whose goods Christie sells to the highest bidder. Plus, Christie is joined by: her son, Eli Martin, who is her ringman, overseeing setup and catching bids during the auction; Stephanie Cash, an auction clerk and coordinator, who has worked with Christie since she was 14 years old. HGTV aired back-to-back episodes of AUCTION AGENT on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 8pm ET, but did not have any other episodes scheduled at that time.
