Plot Synopsis

BABYLON FIVE is a syndicated sci-fi series set in 2258 CE, where five hostile federations dominate the outermost regions of space. Heroes, thieves and rare and exotic beings find refuge on a lone space station --the last and best hope for peace between a hundred worlds -- Babylon 5. The series follows the intricate interplay of political intrigue, cultural clashes, and cosmic mysteries that define the station's existence. As tensions rise among the different species, a central narrative emerges, focusing on the enigmatic figure of Ambassador Jeffrey Sinclair, tasked with maintaining peace and understanding amidst a fragile alliance. Sinclair's leadership is tested as he grapples with ancient prophecies, shadowy forces, and a relentless war that could reshape the galaxy's fate. The critically acclaimed franchise debuted in 1993 with the pilot film "The Gathering." The series then launched a year later and ran for five seasons and 110 additional episodes.
