Plot Synopsis

A group of women in Alabama share their home lives, careers and relationships with each other. TLC aired the program as a limited series of three episodes on consecutive Sundays, starting on December 5, 2010. The BAMA BELLES: Val Tignini is a 26-year-old internet entrepreneur who moved from New York to Dothan after visiting her friend Amie, and now she's a fish-out-of-water in the deep South; Amie Pollard is a 39-year-old mother, radio personality and real estate developer who is brash, unapologetic and everyone's best friend -- until you cross her; Jana Roberts is a 28-year-old beautician, preacher's daughter, and wife to a former pitcher of the New York Mets, and she's on an emotional roller coaster going through in vitro fertilisation; Melissa McLaney is 35-year-old mother, ex-beauty queen and business owner who gave up her well-paid job to set up a family business with her husband, which they are now struggling to keep afloat; Dakota Redding is a 24-year-old occupational therapist and member of the Army Reserve, and she's thinking about enlisting full time in the military.
