Plot Synopsis

Each week, eight deadly bots face off in a "Sin City Slugfest" to win the right to compete in the ultimate Vegas showdown. In the first five episodes, bots compete in qualifiers, also known as the Sin City Slugfest. Each night starts with eight teams that battle it out. The finalist that makes it through that night's bracket then have to face a BattleBots Legend. And it doesn't end there. Whichever bot reigns supreme -- whether it's the BattleBots Legend or the Slugfest finalist -- secures a spot in The Golden Bolt Tournament. Victorious bots from the first five episodes join three Giant Nut winners in the final episode -- a winner-takes-all beat down called the Golden Bolt Tournament of Champions. The winner will raise the first-ever Golden Bolt trophy. The BATTLEBOTS crew -- Chris Rose, Kenny Florian, Pete "The Bot Whisperer" Abrahamson, and Faruq Tauheed -- are back for this series of six, two-hour episodes. In the season opener, "Let the Slugfest Begin," a new tournament kicks off in the fight capital of the world for robotic combat's hottest trophy: The Golden Bolt. But first the robots must face the toughest battle ever seen in Vegas: the Sin City Slugfest. Starring: Gigabyte.

On Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 8-10pm ET/PT, Discovery Channel premiered the second season of BATTLEBOTS CHAMPIONS. In this war of BattleBots Champions, every fight is win or go home -- and the streets of Vegas are paved with the Golden Bolt. End Game returns to defend its title, joined by fellow Giant Nut winners Tantrum and SawBlaze. The killer trio have automatic entries to the Golden Bolt Championship Tournament at the end of the six-episode season. There are five open spots left, and each will be claimed by the winner of a Sin City Slugfest. In each Slugfest, eight robots take on a single elimination gauntlet. Whichever bot wins three straight fights will punch its ticket to the tournament of champions and gets its shot to take home the hardware. In the season opener, "Sin City: Let the Slugfests Begin," the journey to the Golden Bolt starts now with the first Sin City Slugfest; eight robots will enter, but only one will punch its ticket to the tournament of champions; every fight is win or go home.

On Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 8-10pm ET/PT, Discovery Channel premiered "Sin City: The Golden Bolt," the season finale of BATTLEBOTS CHAMPIONS. It's the final night of the BattleBots: Champions tournament, and five Slugfest winners will go head-to-head for the the Golden Bolt; they'll fight three champions, including title-holder End Game and current World Champion SawBlaze.
