Plot Synopsis

Premiering during National Suicide Prevention Week 2022 (Sun Sep 4 - Sat Sep 10), BET HER PRESENTS: THE LIFELINE features stories that bring attention to suicide prevention. Two short films debuted on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 10-11pm ET/PT on BET Her.

"Happy" (10pm): Joi -- a popular, high achieving college student -- is everything her younger sister Lia isn't. Their overwhelmed mother, concerned about Lia's recent behavior, leans on Joi for support. But sometimes being the shining example of success is harder than it looks. "As I Am" (10:30pm): Sharlinda Baptiste appears to have it all together until a shocking scandal resurfaces, shining a light on a troubled past. Tiffany M. Snow, Adja Camara, and Thea Camara star.
