Plot Synopsis

BLAZE AND THE MONSTER MACHINES is an animated educational series that teaches concepts of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) to preschoolers by following the adventures of monster truck Blaze and his eight-year-old driver AJ. Together, Blaze and AJ explore the physics of how things move; tackle problems through scientific inquiry and mathematics; and discover the parts needed to make everyday technologies work. In the hour-long series premiere, "Blaze of Glory," Blaze and AJ are introduced to a world of racing monster machines in the town of Axle City. When Crusher, a troublemaker truck and Blaze's biggest rival, uses his dirty tricks to try to win the championship race, Blaze does everything he can to help his friends and beat him to the finish line. Throughout the adventure, preschoolers are introduced to STEM concepts like buoyancy and trajectory. Other characters in BLAZE include: Pickle, Crusher's over-enthusiastic and underappreciated sidekick; Gabby, a mechanic with serious monster truck know-how; Darington, an ultimate showman who loves to dazzle with amazing tricks and stunts; Stripes, an impetuous tiger truck who is always ready for action; Starla, a hootin', hollerin' cowgirl monster machine; and Zeg, part monster machine and part triceratops, who is Blaze's best prehistoric pal.

Season 2 of BLAZE AND THE MONSTER MACHINES premiered on Friday, September 25, 2015 at Noon ET/PT on Nickelodeon. In the season opener, "Fired Up!," special guest Joe Manganiello provides the voice of the Fire Chief, who as commander of Axle City's firefighting brigade, tackles the toughest emergencies with authority and thinks Blaze may have what it takes to be a firefighter. In this episode, Blaze smells smoke at Axle City's garage, so he calmly and courageously leads his friends outside to safety. The Fire Chief is impressed with Blaze and encourages him to work hard to earn his firefighter badge and join his team. Blaze and AJ set out on a series of thrilling adventures to avert disaster in Axle City.
