Plot Synopsis

BODY CAM: ON THE SCENE is a one-hour docuseries that uses body camera footage to show the dangerous, fast-moving situations officers face and the life-or-death decisions they must make in the blink of an eye. In the series opener, "Single Handed," three officers face down violent criminals alone; a killer on the run ambushes a State Trooper; a rookie's routine stop on the highway takes a dangerous turn; and a disturbance at a liquor store leaves an officer fighting for his life.

The sophomore season of BODY CAM: ON THE SCENE debuted on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 10pm ET/PT on Investigation Discovery. In the season opener, "Dangerous Pursuits," it's a race against the clock for an officer after three men kidnap a baby.

BODY CAM: ON THE SCENE returned for its third season on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 10pm ET/PT on Investigation Discovery. In the season opener, "The Chase Is On," officers race to catch a bank robber who opens fire at police; teenage female fugitives speed away from officers before wrecking their vehicle; a suspect attempts to flee police by swimming for freedom. After a seven-month break, BODY CAM: ON THE SCENE returned with new episodes on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at 9pm ET/PT on Investigation Discovery. In the mid-season debut, "Critical Situation," police officers face critical situations; a gunman holds his teenage daughter and wife hostage in their own home, and deputies battle to regain control of rioting inmates in a county jail.

Season 4 of BODY CAM: ON THE SCENE debuted on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 10mp ET/PT on Investigation Discovery. In the season opener, "Race Against the Clock," Muskogee officers battle to save an injured woman from her attacker; an undercover agent finds himself at the wrong end of the barrel; in California, an officer faces a knife-wielding teenage girl.
