Plot Synopsis

Each one-hour episode of A BODY IN THE BASEMENT focuses on a different case where a body is found -- or body parts are discovered -- beneath the ground floor. In the series opener, "Killer in the New Neighborhood," a shocking murder in broad daylight in 1978 terrifies a small Illinois town; it goes unsolved for years, until an elite team of investigators uses cutting-edge technology to dig up new clues and lay a cunning trap to catch a killer. In the second episode, "Ice Cold Killers," in Youngstown, Ohio, in 2017, an unsuspecting married couple discover body parts in a mysterious, locked freezer that someone put in their basement, unlocking a harrowing mystery surrounding a missing woman and a tragic love triangle.
