Plot Synopsis

Jonathan is an alcoholic Brooklyn writer who decides to be a private eye after a difficult breakup with his girlfriend. He starts by listing his services on Craigslist and actually gets a case. After solving his first caper, he starts moonlighting as a dick and takes even more cases -- solving most but making others worse. George is his eccentric millionaire boss, and Ray is his slacker best friend. In the third season, Ames has published "A Blonde in the Woods," his collection of mystery stories, and is living in the topmost apartment of Brooklyn's Williamsburgh bank tower, while putting his sleuthing skills to the test for a myriad of clients new and old.
