Plot Synopsis

Care-a-Lot -- nestled in a faraway cloud high above the Earth -- is the rainbow-colored home of the Care Bears, who are the coolest, most caring-est, magical friends. By helping children navigate their feelings through music, love, belly-badge powers and great big hugs, these Care Bears show that anything is possible: Harmony Bear, living on Isle of Music where she hears music in everything, has a Flower Belly Badge that can turn into a harmonizing instrument, a keyboard, or even a shield; Cheer Bear, the Care-a-Lot cheerleader living in her cottage in the Enchanted Garden, has a Rainbow Belly Badge that brings joy and lets her shoot magical rainbows, which have the power to guide the bears; Funshine Bear, who makes his home on Care-a-Lot's fun zone called Adventure Beach, has a Sun Belly Badge that can find light at the darkest hour, provide solar power, or shine a spotlight on a star performer; Tenderheart Bear, the leader of the Care Bears living in the Lighthouse at the very center of Care-a-Lot, is the bear who invites children to Care-a-Lot by sending them Care 'n Share charms; Share Bear, living in the Forest of Feelings, solves misunderstandings with a kind word and treats at her tea parties and has a Lollipops Belly Badge that can make copies of good things; Grumpy Bear, who can always be found in his Care-a-Van in the Moody Mountains, is a grouch who understands a child's glum moments, has a Care-y-All bag that holds anything and everything, and whose Rain Cloud Belly Badge can control weather; and Wonderheart Bear, the youngest and newest Care Bear who lives with her uncle Tenderheart Bear, is not sure what her Little Heart Belly Badge is supposed to do. The year this series premiered marked the 30th anniversary of the Care Bears property.
