Plot Synopsis

Held since the 2014-15 season, the Champions Hockey League is an annual tournament for European ice hockey clubs.

Since the 2023-24 season, the playing format features 24 teams qualifying and participating. Following a Group Stage Draw, teams were drawn into six groups of four. Teams played their three Group Stage opponents both home and away. At this stage, the teams were ranked in a single table to determine the next matchups and potential path to the Final for each team. The Playoffs (Round of 16, Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals) were played in a two-game, home-and-away, knock-out series, where the winner on goals aggregate advanced to the next round. For Round of 16, pairings are formed based on the positions of the teams in the regular season table as follows: the team finished 1st in the regular season faced the team finished 16th, the team finished 2nd faced the team finished 15th, and so on. The Final was a one-game all-or-nothing showdown, played at the venue of the team with the best-accumulated Group Stage and Playoffs record.
