Plot Synopsis

In each half-hour episode of CHEF SWAP AT THE BEACH, host Amanda Freitag heads to Myrtle Beach, SC to challenge two local chefs to trade restaurants and cook a meal in each other's kitchen. Judges are Johanna Wilson Jones, a Myrtle Beach-based food writer and culinary connoisseur; and Dylan Foster, chef and owner of Two Sons Seafood. In the season opener, Amanda invites local restaurants Johnny D's and Winna's Kitchen to go head-to-head in a Breakfast Chef Swap Challenge to see whether their chosen ingredients will be enough to win it all. Then, in the second episode, Ciao and Drift face off in a Lunch Chef Swap Challenge. In the third episode, Tidal Creek swaps kitchens with Bonfire Taqueria in a Burger Chef Swap Challenge in Myrtle Beach. Next, Amanda presents Perrone's and Bistro 217 with a Cocktail Chef Swap Challenge. In the penultimate episode, Sea Captain's House to go head-to-head against 44 & King in a Surf and Turf Chef Swap. Then, in the finale, Big Mike's and Hook & Barrel give it their all in an Appetizer Chef Swap Challenge.

The sophomore season of CHEF SWAP AT THE BEACH debuted on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 7pm ET/4pm PT on Cooking Channel. In the season opener, "Lunch Plate Special Showdown," new host Chef Mason Zeglen dives deep into the heart of Myrtle Beach with two very special, family-run restaurants. Fiesta Mexicana's Chef Gabe Hernandez swaps kitchens with Chef Jonathan Glass of Nonna's Taste of Italy for a Lunch Plate Special showdown. Who will bring home the Chef Swap Knife?

Season 3 of CHEF SWAP AT THE BEACH premiered on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 7pm ET/4pm PT on Cooking Channel. Host Mason Zeglen is back with fellow judges Johanna Wilson-Jones and Dylan Foster. In the season opener, "Lunch Date Special," Chef Richard Ward of Ritchie's General Store & Eatery swaps with Chef Jeff Cornelius of Hot Fish Club.

On Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 7-8pm ET/4-5pm PT, Cooking Channel premiered "BBQ Cook-Off," the Season 3 finale of CHEF SWAP AT THE BEACH. Two talented culinary students from the International Culinary Institute in Myrtle Beach, Sundy Barth and Charlie Unger, are guided by their mentors as they take on an exciting barbecue challenge that showcases their heritage and skill in a head-to-head battle.
