Plot Synopsis
One of only three parades in the United States to be nationally broadcast live, this annual parade takes place each Thanksgiving morning in Chicago. WGN-TV first televised the parade locally in 1966 when it was then called the STATE STREET CHRISTMAS PARADE, and WGN America presented the parade nationally from 2007 through 2018, after which it returned to a local telecast on WGN.

Because of restrictions for the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 CHICAGO THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE was canceled. The next parade is now scheduled the following Thanksgiving: Thursday, November 25, 2021.
