Plot Synopsis

In 2011, CMT Original Movies Division launched with a focus on made-for-television movies, including romantic comedies and music-related projects. In its previous incarnation as CMT Films, this department operated from 2005-2010 as a full-service film studio that used theatrical and network premieres to distribute the films before premiering them on CMT, and releasing them for DVD sales, including titles like BROKEN BRIDGES, BEER FOR MY HORSES and PETTY BLUE. In March 2011, CMT announced its first two original made-for-TV movies: TO THE MAT, with Ricky Schroder and Laura Bell Bundy, which premiered on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 8pm ET/PT; and REEL LOVE, with LeAnn Rimes, which premiered later that same year.
